The Orange River Mines (ORM) mining activities are found within Namdeb’s Mining Licence 42. This licence area extends along the Orange River for about 50 kilometres inland from the Mining Area 1 (MA1) eastern boundary to Sendelingsdrif, near the town of Rosh Pinah. The Orange River Mines contains some of the highest value diamonds in the world.
ORM has has two distinct operations, Daberas Mine and Sendelingsdrif Mine. Sendelingsdrift is the second largest diamond deposit within the Orange River Mine’s mining licence area after and was inaugurated in 2014 by His Excellency; former President of The Republic of Namibia; Hifikepunye Pohamba.
